About the Role

We are seeking a mid-level DevOps Engineer with a background in software engineering to join our core infrastructure team at a leading Tier 1 Investment Bank.

In this role, you will bridge the gap between application development and system operations. You will manage and modernize on-premises infrastructure while maintaining strict performance, high availability, and security standards required in enterprise banking.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain, automate, and scale on-premises data center infrastructure and deployment pipelines.
• Collaborate directly with application development teams to unblock deployments and optimize release workflows.
• Write clean, maintainable automation scripts and tools leveraging your software development background.
• Enforce security controls, governance, and compliance protocols across all operational processes.
• Assist adjacent engineering teams with troubleshooting, system diagnostics, and pipeline optimization.

What We Are Looking For

• Experience: 5 to 10 years of total technology experience in engineering, DevOps, or systems roles.
• Development Background: Prior hands-on experience as a C# / .NET developer.
• Infrastructure Skills: Direct experience managing on-premises systems (Windows Server/Linux, bare-metal, virtualization, internal data centers).
• Domain Knowledge: Experience in banking, asset management, capital markets, or adjacent regulated financial sectors.
• Mindset: Service-oriented, collaborative, and eager to assist development teams across the organization.
