Digital Transformation Programme Manager

United Kingdom Part-time Posted 1 hour ago
About RTN Mental Health

To support our next phase of growth, we are looking for an experienced Digital Transformation Programme Manager to provide leadership and coordination across our digital transformation programme. Working directly with our Managing Director and alongside our Executive Team, fractional CTO, technical delivery team and wider clinical, operational and assurance leads, you will provide the structure, visibility and delivery discipline needed to translate our digital strategy into operational reality

Behind our mission is a vibrant, expanding operational and clinical framework. To support our growth, we have identified a critical need for an experienced delivery lead to take full operational oversight of our digital roadmap. Working alongside our Executive team, part-time fractional CTO, and Business Analyst, you will act as the central delivery driver, orchestrating multi-system integrations, organising complex patient data workflows, and translating digital strategy into seamless operational reality.

The Role

As Digital Transformation Programme Manager, you will provide the structure, pace, and cross-functional coordination needed to drive our digital projects from architecture through to rollout.

You won't be managing a heavy corporate PMO; instead, you’ll be the operational glue connecting Executive leadership, clinical operations, technical teams, and external vendors. You will ensure dependencies are clear, risks are mitigated early, decisions are locked in, and future capacity is effectively scoped and integrated as our transformation ramps up.

Role Responsibilities

  • Stakeholder Engagement & Confidence: Build trusted relationships across Executive, technical, clinical, operational and assurance stakeholders, ensuring the right expertise is engaged early enough to influence decisions and that stakeholders have appropriate visibility of progress, risks and key decisions.
  • Cross-Functional Delivery Leadership: Drive accountability and maintain delivery momentum across internal tech leads, BAs, clinical operations, and external software vendors.
  • Roadmap & Dependency Management: Maintain a clear, realistic delivery plan, critical path, and milestone roadmap across all active data mapping and system integration workstreams.
  • Practical Governance: Establish lightweight ways of working, clear decision rights, and maintain a robust decision log to protect velocity and prevent scope creep.
  • Resource Capability Scaling: Partner with the CTO and BA to scope, sequence, and integrate future specialist contractors (e.g., Data Analysts) for heavy-lifting data work packages.
  • Executive & Stakeholder Reporting: Provide concise, transparent programme reporting to the MD and Executive Team, working closely with the CTO to translate technical complexity into clear business implications, decisions and actions.
  • RAID & Scope Control: Proactively track risks, manage cross-functional dependencies, and implement pragmatic change control.
  • Business Adoption: Ensure business readiness, training, change and adoption requirements are identified, appropriately owned and delivered ahead of implementation and system cutovers.

About You

We are looking for a pragmatic, proactive delivery driver with strong technical literacy who thrives in a fast-paced SME, someone who can step in, bring order to complex multi-system workstreams, and keep our cross-functional teams tightly aligned without over-engineering the process.

  • Healthcare Context: Demonstrable experience delivering digital transformation within healthcare or another highly regulated, safety-critical environment, with an understanding of the importance of clinical safety, data protection, information governance and appropriate assurance.
  • Proven Track Record: Demonstrable experience coordinating complex digital transformations, system integrations, or patient data migrations end-to-end.
  • Lean & Agile Mindset: Thrives in fast-paced, scaling SME environments where you can establish structure without adding unnecessary process or red tape.
  • Technical & Data Literacy: Comfortable bridging the gap between technical leads/BAs and non-technical clinical/executive stakeholders.
  • Expert Coordinator: Skilled in matrix leadership, able to influence without authority, manage vendors, and align diverse viewpoints.
