About The Role

Gentrack is transforming utility operations through an AI-first platform strategy. We are building a shared Data & AI foundation that powers intelligent decision-making, predictive capabilities, AI-assisted operations, and autonomous workflows across our product portfolio.

As the Director of Product Management – Data & AI Platform, you will define and drive the strategy, roadmap, and adoption of Gentrack's Data & AI platform. You will lead the product vision for the core capabilities that enable analytics, intelligence, AI execution, and interoperability across our products and customer ecosystems.

This role sits at the intersection of product strategy, data, AI, platform engineering, and customer value. You will work closely with engineering, architecture, AI specialists, domain product leaders, and customers to ensure Gentrack delivers a scalable and differentiated intelligence platform that accelerates innovation across the business.

This is a highly strategic leadership role requiring both long-term vision and hands-on product execution.

What You'll Do

Strategy & Vision

  • Define and own the multi-year strategy and roadmap for Gentrack's Data & AI Platform.
  • Establish the vision for how data, analytics, predictive intelligence, AI-assisted operations, and agentic automation are delivered across the product portfolio.
  • Drive the evolution of a shared intelligence layer that serves both Gentrack products and customer AI ecosystems.
  • Translate market trends, customer needs, regulatory requirements, and AI innovation into a compelling product strategy.
  • Ensure Data & AI capabilities are treated as foundational platform services rather than isolated features.

Platform Product Leadership

  • Own the product direction for key platform capabilities including~
  • Data ingestion and integration
  • Business data models and data normalization
  • Data enrichment and intelligence services
  • Analytics and insight frameworks
  • Predictive intelligence capabilities
  • AI execution and orchestration frameworks
  • Agentic and AI-assisted operational capabilities
  • Open integration and interoperability with external AI ecosystems
  • Partner with architects and engineering teams to define scalable platform capabilities that can be leveraged across multiple products and customer deployments.
  • Drive platform adoption across entire product offerings.

AI & Intelligence Enablement

  • Define how AI capabilities are productized and embedded into operational workflows.
  • Work closely with AI teams to identify reusable capabilities that can be leveraged across multiple business domains.
  • Establish frameworks for evaluating AI use cases, business value, operational impact, and customer adoption.
  • Ensure AI capabilities meet enterprise requirements for governance, transparency, security, compliance, and scalability.

Customer & Market Engagement

  • Understand customer data strategies, AI initiatives, and operational challenges to shape product direction.
  • Represent Gentrack's Data & AI vision externally with customers, partners, and industry stakeholders.
  • Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive offerings to maintain market leadership.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Collaborate with Product Directors across Revenue Operations, Compliance, Customer Operations, and Platform domains to ensure alignment and adoption.
  • Partner closely with Engineering, Architecture, Data Engineering, AI specialists, UX, and Delivery teams.
  • Influence executive stakeholders on investment priorities, strategic trade-offs, and roadmap decisions.
  • Drive alignment between product strategy, platform investments, and customer outcomes.

Execution & Outcomes

  • Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle from discovery through delivery and adoption.
  • Define success metrics and KPIs for platform usage, AI adoption, operational efficiency, and customer value.
  • Drive a culture of experimentation, learning, and evidence-based decision making.
  • Balance long-term platform investments with short-term customer and business needs.

What We're Looking For

Experience

  • 10+ years of Product Management experience in enterprise software, SaaS, cloud platforms, or data-intensive products.
  • 4+ years in a senior product leadership role leading product managers and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Proven track record defining and delivering platform products used across multiple business domains.
  • Experience building or scaling data platforms, analytics platforms, AI-enabled products, or enterprise intelligence solutions.
  • Experience working closely with engineering, architecture, and data teams in complex enterprise environments.

Technical & Product Expertise

  • Strong understanding of modern data platform architectures, data pipelines, analytics, and AI technologies.
  • Practical understanding of Generative AI, LLMs, AI-assisted workflows, and agentic systems.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear product strategy and customer value.
  • Experience defining platform capabilities, APIs, reusable services, and integration frameworks.
  • Familiarity with enterprise requirements around security, governance, compliance, and scalability.

Leadership

  • Strategic thinker capable of defining long-term vision while driving execution and delivery.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across executive, customer, and engineering audiences.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling abilities.
  • Proven ability to lead through ambiguity and drive alignment across global teams.
  • Passion for innovation, customer outcomes, and continuous improvement.

Will be great for you to have

  • Experience in Utilities, Energy, Water, Telecommunications, or other highly regulated industries.
  • Experience with AI platforms, machine learning products, predictive analytics, or operational intelligence solutions.
  • Technical background in software engineering, data engineering, or computer science.
  • Experience building products that integrate with customer-owned AI ecosystems and enterprise platforms.
