This position sits within the Learning and Skills directorate reporting to the Pupil Engagement Casework Coordinator and EOTAS Manager and will help to drive and deliver the aims in relation to EOTAS Framework for Action.

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic candidate to join our Pupil Engagement team Key aspects will include supporting the engagement manager and casework coordinator in the management of pupil data and daily administrative tasks, this will include liaison with both internal and external departments of the council including school staff, parents, providers, and specialist external agencies in supporting the quality assurance and contracts meetings are held.
The team is key in developing, coordinating and evaluating a range of EOTAS (Education other than at School) provision for students who require this additionality in curriculum and therefore coordinating the day to day administration of this including recording of key data relating to pupils (attendance, attainment, safeguarding, curriculum etc.) recording key data within the education management information system ‘MRI.
The successful candidate would be a member of a small team but a much wider directorate, working in a trauma informed and ACE aware manner with excellent communication skills is essential for this position.

Pay Details: NJC Single Status – Grade 4, 6-7 £25,989- £26,403
Hours of Work / Working Pattern: 37hrs a week (Monday to Friday) 52 weeks of Year (Full Time)
Main Place of Work: Civic Offices, Barry *Flexible according to the various needs of the service
Description: The successful candidate would need to ensure they comply with corporate policy in line with financial regulations and audit processes to support the daily functions of the service.
They will need to liaise with school staff, parents/carers, training providers and specialist external agencies to support schools, working closely with the Pupil Engagement Manager and Casework Co-ordinator in the daily management of pupil data and daily administrative tasks.

Principal Duties
- To conduct administration duties on procurement and finance as delegated by the Engagement Manager.
- To produce reports from MRI as requested by senior officers in Learning and Skills
- To update One and MRI daily or as required by the Engagement Manager
- To lead on the recording, monitoring and quality assurance of data- including referrals to the Interim and Re-Engagement Panel (IR Panel) including triage
- To maintain a good working knowledge of all Vale MIS systems, use of MRI V4, and school-based systems such as SIMS/ Arbor. Including the use of new technology as required, including computerized registration systems (ACT) or via use of AV1 bots.
- To ensure young people attend schools & EOTAS learning pathways, using regular attendance checks
- To manage the admissions to alternative providers and ensure all necessary referral information and forms are completed
You will need:
- Experience and knowledge of internal management information systems – I.E). I procurement, Oracle
- ICT competent
- Experience and knowledge of schools or corporate MIS systems
- GCSE/O’Level or equivalent
- Evidence of recent CPD
- Experience and knowledge of corporate financial regulations – petty cash systems, processes and knowledge if possible or council systems.
- Experience and knowledge of audit policy and procedures
- Experience of general administration tasks
- Must be a team player and able to work on own initiative
- Flexible to work to the varying needs of the service
- Desirable would be candidates with knowledge of EOTAS.
