You will take ownership of two key customer-facing products, leading a high-performing team of 15+ permanent and contract engineers. About the Role

In this critical leadership role, you will work in lockstep with the Head of Product + Delivery to optimize our existing product ecosystem while pioneering the future of our platform. You will dedicate 80% of your focus to the architecture, build, and global launch of our next-generation replacement product: the Direct Sales Module (DSM)—driving core development, managing direct reports, and achieving key milestones like our regional go-live. The remaining 20% of your time will see you providing strategic oversight for our current Automation product, collaborating directly with the Tech Lead to guide architectural choices and transfer critical feature crossovers.

While you won't be writing code daily, you will actively design, build, and champion robust, scalable architectural decisions while maintaining a high standard for development quality, feature completeness, and technical performance both at a nominal scale and under high-growth scenarios. Additionally, you will drive delivery performance to ensure reliable commitments on schedules, planning, and deadlines. As an experienced Engineering Manager you will champion a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement including rigorous code reviews, robust automated testing, and proactive technical debt management. You will organize your globally distributed team using Agile best practices, partner closely with cross-functional QA, product, infrastructure, and security teams, and introduce AI literacy by leveraging tools like Cursor to supercharge engineering velocity. Ultimately, you will champion a culture of growth through change—setting impactful engineering KPIs and OKRs, while directly coaching and mentoring your engineers to support their professional development.

What We’re Looking For?

• Extensive Technical Core: You have proven software development experience, including substantial time spent at senior and architectural levels guiding complex system design.
• Proven Engineering Leadership: You have a demonstrable track record as an Engineering Manager, comfortably managing cross-functional teams comprising both permanent employees and offshore partner engineers.
• Modern Stack Familiarity: You have deep roots in modern architecture, ideally with enterprise Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, AWS, or adjacent modern languages (such as C#, Python, Go, or Rust).
• Agile Delivery Expertise: You excel at driving technical updates using Agile best practices.
• Strategic Communicator: You can comfortably translate complex architectural decisions into clear, actionable concepts for business leaders and central IT infrastructure teams.
• Education: You hold a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, or a closely related field.
