Environmental, Health and Safety Specialist (Event Safety)
The EHS Event Specialist serves as the global point of contact for event safety, delivering comprehensive event safety programs for onsite and offsite events across multiple global regions (EMEA, APAC, and NORAM). This role ensures legal compliance, consistent global safety standards, and alignment with the client policies through hands-on safety support, documentation oversight, and cross-functional collaboration.
This is a remote role, based in London. Must have an active passport and be able to travel to global locations as requested to cover events. Working coverage hours may shift as needed for event support.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Deliver event safety programs for onsite & offsite events, including major tentpole events across EMEA, APAC, and NORAM
- Provide event safety guidance and develop controls to ensure compliance with local regulations and policies
- Provide in-person safety support high-risk tentpole events, including site inspections and emergency response
- Review and enforce high standards for event safety documentation for both onsite and offsite events
- Oversee the RAMS (Risk Assessment and Method Statement) review program for external event vendors
- Manage and oversee event agencies and contractors in collaboration with client partners, ensuring safety practices and documentation meet standards
- Serve as safety consultant for event hosts and cross-functional teams, aligning on protocols and risk mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with the Central Services Team Lead to report on event data and improve event processes and programs
- Meet regularly with global team members to ensure event safety program compliance and share updates and guidance
- Continuously evaluate and enhance event programs to meet evolving demands, regulations, and policies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, or related field
- 3+ years of Event-specific EHS experience required
- Knowledge of event safety regulations, standards and compliance requirements across global locations
- Experience with risk assessments (RAMS) and safety documentation review
- Experience managing vendors, contractors, and agency relationships
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Ability to travel to support high-risk tentpole events as needed
- Proficiency in safety management systems and reporting tools
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple events and priorities simultaneously
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English with additional languages as a plus
