The Role

The EUC Specialist – L4 provides technical leadership and architectural governance across a complex, global endpoint environment for a financial services client. Based primarily onsite in London, you will lead endpoint strategy, security, and lifecycle management in a highly regulated environment.

This is a senior, hands-on role where you will act as the highest escalation point, shape endpoint architecture, and ensure services are secure, scalable, and compliant.

3x days per week in London (Claranet office and/or customer site)

Key Responsibilities

  • Define endpoint architecture standards across Intune, SCCM, Autopilot, and Defender
  • Own Windows reference build (Golden Image) lifecycle and governance
  • Lead application lifecycle strategy (packaging, deployment, updates, retirement)
  • Drive endpoint security architecture (Defender, BitLocker, AppLocker, hardening)
  • Define patching strategy, deployment rings, and compliance monitoring
  • Optimise monitoring using Nexthink and M365 telemetry
  • Lead architectural reviews, lifecycle planning, and capacity management
  • Provide design assurance for Autopilot and zero-touch deployment
  • Lead automation initiatives (PowerShell, IaC, compliance and drift detection)
  • Own CMDB accuracy and endpoint governance in ServiceNow
  • Act as L4 escalation for complex endpoint and security issues
  • Manage vendor relationships (Microsoft, OEMs, tooling providers)

Experience & Knowledge

Essential:

  • Strong experience in endpoint engineering/architecture (enterprise environments)
  • Deep expertise in Microsoft Intune, SCCM, and Autopilot
  • Strong knowledge of endpoint security (Defender, BitLocker, AppLocker)
  • Experience with patching strategy and Windows Update management
  • Expertise in application packaging and deployment automation
  • Experience with Nexthink or equivalent DEX tooling
  • Automation experience (PowerShell, Terraform or similar)
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow (incident, change, CMDB)

Desirable:

  • Experience in managed services or telecoms environments
  • Knowledge of financial services regulatory frameworks (FCA, PRA, DORA)
