Event & Brand Marketing Specialist (UK)
Aldgate, London, Hybrid (3 Days in office)
£35,000 - £45,000 + 25% bonus + equity
Did you see one of our viral campaigns, like findmohamedawife.com? Or maybe you know one of the 800,000 couples who met through Muzz? Whatever brought you here, now’s the perfect time to join a team on its way to becoming the first billion-dollar Muslim app.
We're looking for an Event & Brand Marketing Specialist to own Muzz's brand presence and organic acquisition pipeline in the UK.
You'll be a Brand Marketer by default, responsible for bringing campaigns and brand initiatives to life locally. You'll also own Event Marketing, creating real-world experiences that bring Muzz and its community to life.
For this role, you need to be fluent in English to fully own and grow Muzz’s presence in the United Kingdom. You must have existing permission to work in the UK and not require sponsorship.
What we’re looking for
- 4+ years of experience in brand marketing, event marketing, experiential marketing, community marketing, communications or a related field.
- Proven experience planning and executing events or brand activations, from initial concept through to delivery and post-event evaluation.
- Strong project management skills, including managing timelines, budgets, vendors, venues and multiple stakeholders.
- Experience developing event marketing and promotional plans that drive registrations, attendance and engagement.
- Strong creative and conceptual thinking, with the ability to create experiences that are relevant, memorable and aligned with the brand.
- Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills, with the confidence to manage external suppliers, venues, partners and agencies.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, particularly when working with communities, creators, partners and internal teams.
- Comfortable managing budgets and commercial negotiations, including evaluating costs, sponsorship opportunities and event ROI.
- Experience using event, marketing or audience data to evaluate performance and improve future activations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to stay calm and make good decisions when things inevitably change on event day.
- A hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves attitude. You're equally comfortable developing the concept, negotiating with a venue and being on-site at 7am for setup.
- Culturally curious and community-minded, with a genuine understanding of how to create experiences that resonate with Muslim audiences.
- A commercial mindset, understanding that events should contribute to brand building, community growth and measurable business outcomes.
