Field Sales Executive
WHO WE ARE
Lina Stores started on Brewer Street in Soho in 1944. Eighty years later, we're still there - five delis, ten restaurants, four bars, a production kitchen in Wimbledon where fresh pasta gets made every morning. Now, we’re taking the food our customers love into their homes, with our retail-ready range.
We care a lot about where food comes from and how it's made. Our suppliers are mostly small, independent producers from specific regions of Italy. As a result, we've built a loyal following in the UK.
THE ROLE
You won't be handed a territory manual or a scripted pitch. You'll be working out the best approach with us, going after the kinds of independent retailers across London who'd genuinely love what we make, and building relationships that last.
You’ll report directly to the Retail Director, sit in on the commercial side of the business, and have a real say in how we grow this business.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
· Get out into London and find independent retailers - grocers, delis, butchers, food halls, farm shops .
· Present the products properly: pasta, sauces, charcuterie, seasonal lines. We'll make sure you know them inside out
· Keep your accounts happy once they're on board - regular contact, good communication, making sure we grow together.
· Track what you're working on and where things stand. Nothing complicated, just enough that we've got visibility.
· Tell us what you're hearing out there: what's selling, what buyers are asking for, what our competition is doing
WHO YOU ARE
We're not looking for someone who's done ten years in FMCG. We're looking for someone who's good with people, comfortable making the first move, and genuinely interested in food (preferably Italian food...).
More specifically:
· You like talking to people and you're good at it - in person, not just over email
· You can handle rejection without it knocking you off course.
· You've sold something before, in some context. FMCG is a bonus, not a requirement
· You know London and you're happy to be all over it
· You’re passionate about what you're selling.
WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU
· Competitive Salary (£28k-£32k), with a bonus structure paid at the 6 and 12 month marks
· Company Oyster card to cover work travel
· 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
· A direct line to the leadership of a business that's been around since 1944 and is at a genuinely exciting stage of its growth
· A clear route: Field Sales, then Key Account Manager, then further.
