With more than 100 years of proud history, Cementation Skanska brings deep foundation expertise built on decades of experience across roads, rail, iconic skylines, arenas, energy projects and flood defences. Our in-house piling and foundations teams work alongside steel fabrication, geotechnical and infrastructure monitoring to deliver complete, integrated solutions. We also offer an extensive archive of geotechnical records to support early engagement with customers and stakeholders throughout appraisal and planning.
We are currently looking for a Field Service Technician Fitter to join us in Doncaster to support the plant department workshop and field service supervisor by carrying out inspections, service, rigging/de rigging and repairs in a timely manner both in our Plant department workshop and on our construction sites.

We are currently looking for a Field Service Technician Fitter to join us in Doncaster to support the plant department workshop and field service supervisor by carrying out inspections, service, rigging/de rigging and repairs in a timely manner both in our Plant department workshop and on our construction sites.
As The Field Service Technician Fitter, You Will
- Ensure safe systems of work, permit adherence and compliance with PUWER, LOLER, COSHH and company procedures.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and control system faults in the field.
- Install new components and retrofit existing systems to improve performance and reliability.
- Conduct inspections, testing and calibration of piling plant equipment to meet operational standards.
- Documentation: complete job cards, inspection records, time sheets and handover notes; etc.
- Work with supervisors, planners, site teams and suppliers to prioritise work and arrange parts or specialist services.
- Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics and engineering drawings for repairs and installations.
- Assist with out-of-hours call-outs or site attendance when required.
- City and Guilds/NVQ or equivalent plant/mechanical based qualification.
- CSCS Card.
- MEWP Licence.
- Ability to read hydraulic and electrical schematics.
- Basic diagnostic skills using hand tools, precision instruments and fault-finding equipment.
