Finance Assistant FTC

Not your typical Finance Assistant role, you'll be joining a growing finance team, getting stuck into the detail and gaining exposure that can genuinely move your career forward.

We're working with a growing business that is looking to add an experienced Finance Assistant to their finance team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who already has a few years of Accounts Payable / transactional finance experience and is ready to take the next step in their career.

You'll be joining a busy finance function where accuracy, organisation and attention to detail really matter. This isn't a role for someone who wants to sit back and wait for tasks to come in - you'll be hands-on, dealing with invoices, payments, reconciliations and supporting the wider finance team day to day.

• Processing a high volume of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently

• Matching invoices to purchase orders and resolving discrepancies

• Managing supplier queries and maintaining strong supplier relationships

• Preparing and processing payment runs

• Completing bank and supplier statement reconciliations

• Investigating and resolving invoice and payment issues

• Supporting month-end processes and reporting

• Maintaining accurate finance records and ensuring financial controls are followed

• Assisting with wider transactional finance duties when required

• Supporting the wider finance team with ad-hoc projects and tasks
  
  

We're looking for someone who already has a few years of relevant finance experience, ideally with a strong background in Accounts Payable or transactional finance.

You'll ideally have:

• 2+ years' experience within Accounts Payable or a similar transactional finance role

• Strong understanding of the end-to-end AP process

• Experience processing invoices and dealing with supplier queries

• Good knowledge of reconciliations and payment processes

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

• Strong organisation skills and the ability to manage deadlines

• Good Excel skills

• Experience using finance/accounting systems

• A proactive, hands-on approach

• The confidence to work independently while also being part of a wider finance team
