RSK Group is a leading environmental, engineering and technical services business, comprising over 200 companies worldwide. We are seeking a commercially minded and charismatic Finance Business Partner to join our Environmental Consultancy division (Circa 30 Business units).

This is a high-impact role, partnering closely with the Divisional Finance Director and senior leadership team to drive performance, provide insight, and support strategic decision-making across the business.

The Role

As a Finance Business Partner, you will act as a trusted advisor to operational leaders, providing robust financial insight and helping to shape the financial performance of the division.

Key Responsibilities

  • Performance Analysis: Deliver insightful financial analysis and commentary on business unit performance. Identify key drivers and provide actionable recommendations to Managing Directors and Divisional Operations Directors.
  • Forecasting: Lead and support robust revenue and cost forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and providing clear visibility of expected performance.
  • Decision Support: Provide financial insight and analysis to support strategic and operational decision-making.
  • External Audit: Support the delivery of high-quality and timely audit processes in collaboration with the Divisional Finance Director and local teams.
  • Budget Management: Work with leadership to develop P&L and capex budgets based on sound assumptions. Monitor performance against budget and support delivery of growth and profitability targets.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong, trusted relationships across business units and become a key member of the management team.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to financial processes, controls, and efficiencies. Support resolution of any audit findings.
  • Divisional & Group Reporting: Ensure effective delivery of Group and Divisional reporting and compliance requirements.
  • Accounting Support: Provide technical accounting guidance and collaborate with Group and Divisional teams to resolve complex issues.
  • Treasury & Working Capital: Support cash flow optimisation and working capital improvements across the division.
  • Finance Recruitment: Support the hiring and development of finance talent within the business.
  • Ad Hoc Support: Provide financial insight and analysis as required by the wider leadership team.

About You

  • Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA or ACA)
  • Atleast 3+ year PQE in a similar analytical or partnering role
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • Charismatic and confident communicator with excellent emotional intelligence
  • Strong leadership and relationship-building skills
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial controls
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Proactive and solutions-focused mindset
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (particularly Excel)
