Kin Vets is an ambitious, fast-growing multi-site veterinary group with an exciting acquisition and expansion strategy. As we continue to grow, we're looking for an experienced FP&A Manager to play a pivotal role in shaping our financial planning capability and supporting strategic decision-making across the business.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional who thrives on turning complex data into meaningful insight. Working closely with the CFO, Head of Finance, Operations and Analytics teams, you'll provide the financial intelligence that helps drive business performance, support acquisitions and influence key strategic decisions.
If you're looking for a role where you can genuinely make an impact and help build a best-in-class FP&A function, we'd love to hear from you.
The Role:
As FP&A Manager, you'll lead the Group's budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes, delivering robust financial models, insightful reporting and commercial analysis that supports both operational performance and long-term growth.
You'll work collaboratively with senior stakeholders across Finance, Operations and Analytics to improve financial visibility, develop forecasting capabilities and provide forward-looking insight across our growing network of veterinary practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the annual budgeting process and regular forecasting cycles across the Group.
- Develop and maintain driver-based financial models to support planning and strategic decision-making.
- Produce monthly forecasts, variance analysis and performance reporting.
- Deliver commercial insight and recommendations to improve clinic and Group performance.
- Partner with operational leaders to understand business drivers, identify opportunities and challenge performance.
- Support financial modelling and analysis for acquisitions and business growth initiatives.
- Develop meaningful financial KPIs and performance metrics alongside Finance and Operations teams.
- Collaborate with the Senior Analytics Engineer to ensure reporting is accurate, relevant and actionable.
- Improve and automate management information to enhance business decision-making.
- Provide financial analysis to support strategic projects and evolving business requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement across forecasting, planning and reporting processes.
About You:
We're looking for someone who combines strong technical FP&A expertise with excellent commercial awareness and stakeholder management skills.
You'll ideally have:
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent professional qualification.
- Previous experience in FP&A, Commercial Finance or Finance Business Partnering.
- Advanced financial modelling, budgeting and forecasting skills.
- Experience working within a multi-site organisation.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear commercial insight.
- Experience presenting financial information to senior leadership and Board-level stakeholders.
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large data sets.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- A proactive, pragmatic and solutions-focused approach.
Desirable Experience
It would be advantageous if you also have experience of:
- Healthcare, veterinary, retail or other multi-site service businesses.
- Private equity-backed or high-growth organisations.
- Supporting acquisitions, integrations or business transformation projects.
- Power BI or other data visualisation platforms.
- SQL or modern analytics tools.
- Developing driver-based planning models and KPI frameworks.
Why Join Kin Vets?
This is a rare opportunity to join a business during an exciting period of growth where your work will directly influence the future direction of the organisation.
You'll benefit from:
- A highly visible role working alongside the CFO, Head of Finance, Board and senior leadership team.
- The opportunity to build and shape the Group's FP&A capability.
- Exposure to strategic decision-making within a rapidly expanding healthcare business.
- Involvement in acquisitions, commercial planning and business growth initiatives.
- Close collaboration with Finance, Operations and Data teams to drive meaningful business outcomes.
- A supportive, ambitious and commercially focused culture committed to continuous improvement.
Who You'll Be
You're naturally curious, commercially driven and enjoy using data to solve problems and influence decision-making. You're equally comfortable building detailed financial models as you are presenting insights to senior stakeholders.
You'll thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment and enjoy balancing strategic thinking with hands-on delivery, while helping to build a finance function that supports sustainable growth and operational excellence.
