In this role you will ensure optimum utilisation of plant, raw materials, and people, to produce quality product at minimum cost, which meets customer requirements and complies with legislation.
What you’ll be doing:
- Provide inspirational leadership across your area and contribute to the wider site leadership team
- Drive a food safety and quality culture, ensuring compliance with BRCGS, ISO45001, ISO14001, and all regulatory standards
- Take full operational ownership for Safety, Quality, Cost, People, and Service performance
- Lead and deliver site KPIs, ensuring clear communication, accountability, and performance improvement
- Work with CI and operational data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
- Develop and implement strategic plans and operational policies in collaboration with senior stakeholders
- Lead customer and third-party audits, maintaining compliance and site certifications
- Support and deliver capital expenditure projects on time and in full
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cost control for your area
- Ensure effective supply chain coordination, including materials, staffing, and logistics
- Drive operational planning to consistently meet customer demand and service levels
- Build strong cross-functional partnerships across engineering, quality, and supply chain
Essential
- Foundation levels in English and Maths.
- Evidence of continued professional development
- Working in a FMCG, ideally food manufacturing.
- Strong awareness of health and safety legislation.
- Demonstration of building and developing teams and individuals.
- Curious nature, examples of accelerating performance through careful managed interventions.
- Emotionally intelligent.
- Good levels of Commercial acumen and data awareness.
- Previous experience or understanding of a factory environment
- Experience in an FMGG environment
- Degree standard of education
- Formal CI training eg Six Sigma Green Belt, Kaizen
- Coaching/ Mentoring qualifications
- HACCP level 3
- Food Safety Level 3
- Trained Auditor
