GCP DevOps Engineer

Job Description-

We are seeking a highly skilled GCP DevOps Engineer to design, implement, automate, and support cloud-native platforms on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The engineer will be responsible for building secure, scalable, and highly available infrastructure, enabling CI/CD pipelines, supporting Kubernetes platforms, and driving DevSecOps best practices.

The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in GCP Services, Kubernetes (GKE), Terraform, CI/CD, Infrastructure Automation, Monitoring, Security, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Platform Engineering

• Design, deploy, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure on GCP.
• Provision and manage resources using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Configure and maintain:
• GKE (Google Kubernetes Engine)
• Compute Engine
• Cloud Storage
• Cloud Load Balancers
• VPC Networks
• Cloud DNS
• Cloud SQL
• IAM & Service Accounts
• Optimize cloud resource utilization and costs.

Kubernetes & Containerization

• Deploy and manage containerized applications on GKE.
• Create and maintain Helm Charts.
• Implement:
• Auto-scaling
• Node pool management
• Rolling deployments
• Blue-Green deployments
• Canary deployments
• Troubleshoot cluster, networking, and application issues.

CI/CD & Release Automation

• Build and support CI/CD pipelines using:
• GitHub Actions
• Jenkins
• GitLab CI
• Cloud Build
• Harness
• Implement automated:
• Build
• Test
• Security Scanning
• Deployments
• Rollback strategies
• Drive deployment standardization and release governance.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

• Develop reusable Terraform modules.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning.
• Maintain environment consistency across Dev, Test, UAT, and Production.

Monitoring & Observability

• Configure monitoring using:
• Cloud Monitoring
• Cloud Logging
• Prometheus
• Grafana
• Dynatrace
• Splunk
• Establish dashboards, alerts, and SLAs/SLOs.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for incidents.
