Job Role : GCP Platform Architect

What You Will Do:

We are seeking an experienced GCP Platform Architect to lead the design, implementation, and governance of enterprise-scale cloud platforms on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes-based container platforms, networking, security, automation, and cloud transformation initiatives. This role requires a strong architectural mindset to build scalable, secure, highly available, and cost-efficient cloud solutions while enabling business and technology modernization.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement cloud-native architectures using Google Compute Engine (GCE), Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Cloud Run, and Anthos for scalable and resilient application deployments.
  • Architect and optimize modern data platforms leveraging BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and Bigtable to support analytics and data-driven business initiatives.
  • Define and implement secure networking architectures utilizing VPCs, Cloud Load Balancing, Cloud Interconnect, IAM, and encryption services in alignment with security and compliance requirements.
  • Drive infrastructure automation and standardization through Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, or Deployment Manager.
  • Develop automation frameworks, integrations, and platform services using Python, Java, Node.js, or Go.
  • Lead cloud migration, modernization, and platform transformation programs, ensuring adherence to the Google Cloud Well-Architected Framework and enterprise governance standards.
  • Establish cloud architecture best practices, operational standards, monitoring strategies, and reliability frameworks to enhance platform performance and availability.
  • Partner with engineering, security, operations, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable cloud solutions and optimize cloud adoption.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, solution architecture, or cloud consulting.
  • Strong hands-on expertise across core GCP services, including compute, container orchestration, networking, security, and data platforms.
  • Proven experience designing and managing Kubernetes-based platforms, containerized workloads, and hybrid/multi-cloud environments.
  • Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, and cloud automation frameworks.
  • Solid understanding of cloud security, governance, observability, reliability engineering, and cost optimization practices.
  • Experience leading cloud migration and modernization initiatives in enterprise environments.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and technical leadership skills.
