Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Head Chef role based in London. The Head Chef will oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, including planning and executing service, supervising kitchen staff, and maintaining high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation in line with The Real Greek’s brand and recipes. Responsibilities include menu execution, stock management, ordering, cost control, and adherence to food safety, hygiene, and allergen regulations. The Head Chef will train, schedule, and mentor team members, foster a positive and inclusive kitchen culture, and work closely with front-of-house leadership to deliver consistent, timely service. The role also involves contributing to seasonal menu developments, implementing operational improvements, and ensuring an efficient, clean, and safe working environment.
Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a high-volume, quality-focused restaurant environment.
  • Strong culinary skills, including expertise in Mediterranean or Greek cuisine, flavor balance, and plating.
  • Solid knowledge of kitchen operations, including ordering, inventory control, waste reduction, and cost management.
  • Thorough understanding of food safety standards, HACCP principles, and health and hygiene regulations.
  • Ability to lead, train, and motivate a diverse kitchen team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities, with a focus on consistency and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required in a hospitality environment.
  • Culinary qualification or equivalent professional experience; experience in branded or group restaurants is an advantage.
  • Passion for hospitality, guest experience, and delivering high-quality, authentic food in a fast-paced setting.
