The Job

The Head of Planning role is critical to enabling a predictable, scalable, and commercially disciplined delivery organisation.

The purpose of this role is to own the end-to-end planning function, including demand intake, estimation, forecasting, and resource allocation, ensuring that all work across the business is consistently sized, prioritised, and resourced.

This role introduces a centralised Planning capability that removes fragmented decision-making and establishes a single source of truth for delivery demand and capacity, aligning closely with Professional Services, PMO, Product, and Commercial teams.

Key Skills And Experience

  • Proven leadership of a planning, resource management, or PMO function within a delivery or professional services organisation
  • Strong experience in capacity planning, demand forecasting, and resource allocation
  • Demonstrated success in estimation methodologies and commercial accuracy
  • Strong analytical capability with the ability to interpret and act on complex data
  • Experience implementing planning processes, governance frameworks, and tooling
  • Strong stakeholder management across Delivery, Product, Commercial, and Finance
  • Ability to operate in a transformation environment and drive process maturity and discipline
  • business and client stakeholders.
