Job Description
Walker Cole International is exclusively supporting a fast-growing global pharmaceutical business in the search for a Head of Manufacturing Science & Technology (Head MSAT). This is an excellent opportunity to join the business during a period of significant growth and transformation, taking ownership of technical and scientific oversight across a complex biologics-focused manufacturing network.
Your Responsibilities As The Head MSAT Will Include
Providing technical and scientific oversight across a complex biologics manufacturing portfolio, ensuring robust processes and strong product quality throughout the lifecycle.Leading end-to-end change control and technical change management, working cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and external manufacturing partners.Supporting successful new product launches and technology transfer activity, including scale-up of new biologics products to commercial manufacture.Driving global standardisation of MS&T processes and best practice, ensuring rapid re-application of quality, compliance and efficiency improvements across the network.Partnering with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality and Product Development to secure continuity of supply, deliver COGS improvement initiatives and support Capex projects requiring technical input.Designing and delivering technical training to build capability and share scientific knowledge across the organisation.
The Successful Candidate Will Demonstrate The Following
Significant experience in biologics manufacturing, including drug substance manufacture, process validation and optimisation.A strong track record building and deploying MS&T strategies and systems across global or multi-site teams.Experience leading technology transfer and scale-up activity within a regulated biologics manufacturing environment.Proven ability to drive quality and compliance performance across a complex, matrixed organisation.Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills, with experience leading change across international, cross-functional teams.
