Description of role:
TWI is seeking an experienced and commercially focused leader to join our Technology leadership team as Head of Strategic Growth.
This is a senior and influential opportunity to lead the identification and securing of opportunities that will deliver sustainable revenue growth for the TWI Technology Business. You will help expand the impact, capability and commercial performance of TWI Technology by developing a coordinated portfolio of services across industrial membership, technology research, new growth opportunities and strategic partnerships.
Working closely with the Director of Technology, the Technology Leadership Team and colleagues across the Strategic Growth function, you will translate strategy into deliverable growth initiatives. You will also contribute to the development of TWI’s technology strategy, ensuring that growth plans respond to organisational priorities and market needs while creating lasting value for TWI members.
The opportunity
As Head of Strategic Growth, you will lead the development and delivery of strategic growth plans across the revenue generating services and solutions within the Technology Directorate.
You will bring together technical, commercial and operational teams from across TWI to maximise the revenue and profitability of the organisation’s technology portfolio. Your leadership will help ensure that TWI Technology has the structure, focus and business winning capability needed to deliver its strategic ambitions.
You will oversee growth planning across TWI Technology’s key market sectors of Aerospace and Defence, Oil and Gas, and Power. You will also review and develop TWI Technology’s core customer offerings, including Single Client Research, Joint Industry Programmes, Industrial Membership and Collaborative Research, ensuring that they continue to meet member needs and remain financially sustainable.
Key responsibilities
• Lead TWI Technology’s business winning capability and deliver strategic growth plans across its revenue generating services and solutions
• Translate technology strategy into focused and deliverable growth initiatives
• Drive collaboration across technical, commercial and operational teams to maximise revenue and profitability
• Oversee the development and delivery of growth plans for the Aerospace and Defence, Oil and Gas, and Power sectors
• Maintain a coordinated portfolio of business growth opportunities across sector plans and the three Technology Groups
• Continually review and develop TWI Technology’s core customer offerings
• Support the development of strategic partnerships with industry, academia and other external stakeholders
• Contribute to financial planning, sales forecasting and sales performance monitoring
• Improve the efficiency and effectiveness of business winning and strategic growth activities through ownership of relevant TWI processes and procedures
• Represent the Technology Directorate internally and externally, promoting TWI’s expertise and capabilities
• Champion innovation, continuous improvement and knowledge sharing
• Act as a role model for TWI’s values, leadership behaviours and inclusive culture

Working hours:
36 hours per week (full time), 8.30am -16.30pm Monday to Thursday (finishing at 16.15pm on Friday). Part-time and hybrid working available in some roles.
