What You'll Be Doing

As Head of Technology & Product Engineering, you will:

• Define and deliver the technology and product engineering strategy aligned to business objectives.
• Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing team of technical specialists, engineers, and product professionals.
• Drive innovation across networking, security, cloud, data centre, infrastructure and emerging technologies.
• Own the technical product roadmap, ensuring solutions remain market-leading and commercially successful.
• Work closely with commercial, sales, purchasing and operational leaders to identify future growth opportunities.
• Build strong relationships with key vendors, partners and customers.
• Evaluate emerging technology trends and translate them into practical business opportunities.
• Champion technical excellence, continuous improvement and customer-centric innovation.
• Support strategic business initiatives, acquisitions, integrations and transformational projects.
• Represent Mayflex and Sonepar as a trusted technical leader within the industry.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking a technology leader who brings:

✅ Significant experience in a senior technology, product engineering, solutions architecture or technical leadership role.

✅ Proven success leading and developing high-performing technical teams.

✅ Strong commercial awareness with the ability to balance innovation and business outcomes.

✅ Experience building technology roadmaps and translating strategy into execution.

✅ Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at Executive and Board level.

✅ A passion for emerging technologies, digital transformation and continuous improvement.

✅ Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.

✅ Experience operating in a fast-paced commercial or technology-led environment.
