Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Home Health Care Assistant role based in Barrow-In-Furness. The Home Health Care Assistant will provide person-centered support to individuals in their homes, assisting with activities of daily living such as washing, dressing, grooming, and mobility. Day-to-day responsibilities include delivering high-quality personal care, supporting meal preparation and hydration, monitoring well-being, and promptly reporting any changes in condition to supervisors. The role also involves offering companionship, engaging individuals in meaningful activities, and promoting independence and dignity at all times. The Home Health Care Assistant will follow care plans, maintain accurate documentation, adhere to health and safety and safeguarding standards, and collaborate with colleagues, families, and other professionals to ensure continuity of care.
Qualifications

Qualifications
- Strong skills in Home Care and Patient Care, with a focus on person-centered and compassionate support.
- Experience assisting with Activities of Daily Living (e.g., mobility, eating, toileting) to promote comfort, safety, and independence.
- Competence in delivering respectful Personal Care, including hygiene, dressing, and grooming, in line with individual care plans.
- Effective Communication skills, including active listening, clear verbal and written communication, and the ability to build trust with individuals and families.
- Previous experience in home care, healthcare, or social care is preferred; care-related training or qualifications (e.g., NVQ/QCF in Health and Social Care or equivalent) are an advantage.
- Ability to work reliably on a full-time schedule, including potential evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Strong professionalism, reliability, and empathy, with a commitment to safeguarding, confidentiality, and high standards of care.
- Eligibility to work in the UK and willingness to undergo background checks and required training.
