Senior People Business Partner - Interim - 4 days per week

  • £250 per day
  • 4 days per week (hybrid on site)
  • Must start by end of September
  • Until March 2027

We are recruiting on behalf of a high-profile organisation within the arts and cultural sector for an experienced Senior People Business Partner to join their People team on an interim basis until March 2027.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an established HR/People Business Partner who can quickly build credibility, develop strong stakeholder relationships and provide confident, pragmatic advice across a broad range of people matters.

The Role

Working as part of an established People team, you will act as a trusted partner to senior stakeholders across the organisation, providing strategic and operational HR support.

You will have responsibility for managing and developing a Junior Business Partner and will work closely with senior People leadership.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Partnering with senior stakeholders and providing high-quality, pragmatic HR advice.
  • Managing a broad range of employee relations matters, including more complex cases.
  • Building strong and credible relationships with stakeholders across the organisation.
  • Coaching and advising managers on people-related issues and organisational priorities.
  • Line managing and developing a Junior Business Partner.
  • Working collaboratively across the wider People function.
  • Supporting the delivery of key people initiatives and priorities.
  • Operating confidently and autonomously within a senior partnering capacity.

About You

We are looking for an experienced HR professional who can join the organisation and make an impact quickly.

You will ideally have:

  • 3-5 years' experience operating at HR Business Partner / Senior HR Business Partner level.
  • Strong and up-to-date employee relations knowledge.
  • Previous line management experience.
  • A strong track record of developing and managing relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, influencing and relationship-building skills.
  • The confidence to provide advice and challenge at senior level.
  • The ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively as part of a wider People team.
  • Previous experience within the charity, public sector, Civil Service, arts or cultural sectors would be advantageous, but is not essential.
