About The Role
We’re seeking a proactive Health & Safety Support professional for our Barton-Upon-Humber manufacturing site, working Monday-Friday, 06:00-14:30. The role supports implementation of Safety, Health & Environment systems and ensures effective contractor control.

We’re seeking a proactive Health & Safety Support professional for our Barton-Upon-Humber manufacturing site, working Monday-Friday, 06:00-14:30. The role supports implementation of Safety, Health & Environment systems and ensures effective contractor control.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and review Risk Assessments, Safe Working Procedures, COSHH, and Manual Handling (MAC)
- Review/approve contractor RAMS; verify competency, certifications, and licences
- Coordinate contractors, ensuring compliance with site rules, CDM Regulations, and legislation
- Deliver site inductions for contractors/visitors and ensure safety understanding
- Manage Permits to Work (PTW), including high-risk tasks
- Conduct regular audits, inspections, and behavioural observations
- Promote a positive safety culture and challenge unsafe behaviours
- Investigate incidents/near misses, identify root causes, and implement actions
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, ISO 14001/45001, and UK H&S laws
- Monitor performance and support reporting and continuous improvement
Skills and Knowledge:
- IOSH Managing Safely (or equivalent) - essential
- NEBOSH General Certificate – desirable
- Knowledge of ISO standards (e.g. 45001) – desirable
- Understanding of contractor management and CDM Regulations
- Manufacturing/machinery knowledge - advantageous
- Strong communication and influencing skills
- Good organisation; able to manage priorities and deadlines
- Analytical problem-solving and investigation skills
- Able to work independently and in teams
- Experience in diverse environments
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
