Human Resources Business Partner
We’re looking for an experienced HR professional to join us at Whyte & Mackay, someone who loves working closely with people, getting stuck into the detail, and making a real difference day to day.
This is a brilliant 12-month opportunity to step into a varied, hands-on role where no two days look the same.
Yes, you’ll partner with leaders, but you’ll also be right at the heart of the action, supporting across the full HR spectrum.

What you’ll be doing:
- Sitting alongside leaders, helping them lead their teams with confidence.
- Rolling up your sleeves on day-to-day HR activity and people challenges.
- Supporting everything from engagement and culture to ER and change.
- Bringing ideas, energy and a fresh perspective into the business.
- Using data and insight to drive better people decisions.
- Leading on talent, performance and workforce planning.
What we’re looking for:
We’d love to hear from you if you bring:
- Strong experience in a HR Business Partner / partnering role.
- Confidence working with senior stakeholders in a complex environment.
- Experience in employee relations and ideally Trade Union engagement.
- Commercial awareness and the ability to link people strategy to business outcomes.
- A coaching mindset, credible, pragmatic and people-focused.
CIPD qualification is desirable, but your experience and impact matter most.
