Brief Summary
Following a significant and sustained increase in global sales over the past 3 years, our business has scaled rapidly. We are now seeking a versatile IT Manager who is passionate about IT Operations to lead our infrastructure into its next phase of growth.
Operating at a global scale (with revenues tracking at circa £100m/year), our IT team is integral to the business's continued commercial success. The ideal candidate will be deeply committed to process enhancement, robust cybersecurity, and exceptional user support, balancing a strategic mindset with a willingness to remain hands-on.
Tasks and Duties
- Plan and direct the installation, upgrade, and migration of hardware, software, and cybersecurity tools.
- Perform comprehensive cost/benefit analysis on upcoming IT projects and present findings to executive management.
- Continue to evaluate new technologies and identify proactive ways to implement them to improve business operations.
- Determine short- and long-term training needs for the internal IT team.
- Negotiate with external technology providers, vendors, and contractors to ensure optimal service levels and cost savings.
- Maintain a hands-on ability to directly support users in active collaboration with the existing service desk team.
- Regularly review, update, and communicate internal IT policies, compliance procedures, and infrastructure documentation.
- Maintain rigorous cybersecurity measures, including antivirus protocols, firewalls, and strict access controls.
