About The Role
Reporting to Associate Director
This is a senior engineering role within the Markets Technology Services team. The Senior Integration Engineer will take ownership of medium- to high-complexity integrations across Aztec’s private markets application landscape — including eFront, Yardi, Medius, Databricks, and key reporting, analytics, and investor services platforms.
Using a modern Microsoft and MuleSoft-based integration stack — including C#, .NET, SQL, SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Azure Integration Services, and the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform — you will design, build, and support secure, scalable, and maintainable integrations that underpin Aztec’s high-touch, high-tech operating model.
This role combines hands-on technical delivery with design leadership, operational ownership, and mentoring of junior engineers to support the growth of the Markets integration capability.

Key Responsibilities
Integration Development & Delivery
- Design, build, and maintain high-quality integration solutions using C#/.NET, SQL Server, SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Azure Integration Services, and MuleSoft.
- Lead delivery of medium- to high-complexity APIs, reusable connectors, and pipelines across systems such as eFront Invest/Debt, Yardi Voyager, Medius, Databricks, and structured reporting environments.
- Support both real-time and batch integrations for business-critical processes across investor onboarding, fund accounting, cash processing, and reporting.
- Lead the design and support of secure, scalable client data exchanges through:
- SFTP for scheduled extracts and uploads,
- Delta Data Sharing (DDS) via Databricks,
- RESTful APIs for direct client system integrations.
- Configure and support industry-specific third-party data exchange platforms such as GoConnect and Atlas, aligning with Aztec’s standardised data model and client delivery framework.
- Design and maintain MuleSoft APIs, flows, and reusable components via Anypoint Studio.
- Support API management, platform monitoring, and operational readiness aligned with enterprise integration standards.
- Collaborate with solution architects and enterprise architects to ensure alignment with broader integration architecture and roadmap.
- Work collaboratively with:
- Integration engineers across the wider Technology department to ensure consistency and reusability,
- Application and platform owners across Markets and Enterprise services,
- Data and reporting engineers to deliver integration-enabled data pipelines and automation,
- Junior engineers in the Markets team, providing technical guidance and mentoring.
- Provide Level 2/3 support for integration incidents and system interoperability issues, taking ownership of more complex investigations and resolutions.
- Maintain and enforce technical documentation, interface specifications, and support procedures for integrations under your remit.
- Ensure adherence to Aztec’s standards for security, audit, and regulatory compliance.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
- Strong experience in integration development, preferably in an enterprise environment.
- Hands-on experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, including API development and transformation tooling.
- Good understanding of integration design patterns including API-led connectivity, synchronous/asynchronous messaging, and batch processing.
- Proven experience developing secure, scalable integrations between SaaS, on-prem, and cloud-based systems.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools such as Azure DevOps.
- Knowledge of data formats and standards including JSON, XML, CSV, SOAP, REST, and GraphQL.
- Understanding of security best practices including OAuth2, JWT, TLS/SSL, and API gateway controls.
- Strong working knowledge of C# and .NET, SQL Server and T-SQL, SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Azure Integration Services, and source control / CI/CD collaboration practices.
- Experience integrating with or supporting data exchange for platforms such as Accelex, eFront Invest, FIS Investran, Quantios / TrustQuay, Workiva, and Anaplan would be advantageous.
- Backend database knowledge of eFront Invest, including table structure, relationships, and data lineage, would be a significant advantage.
- Logical and methodical approach to integration design and problem-solving.
- Comfortable navigating complex business domains and translating them into robust technical solutions.
- Collaborative, proactive, and capable of engaging across stakeholders with varying technical knowledge.
- Highly delivery-focused and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- Relevant MuleSoft, Azure, or integration platform certifications would be advantageous.
- Exposure to enterprise architecture frameworks and security standards is beneficial.
- Certifications in relevant tools, platforms, or cloud services are an advantage.
