Interim Privacy & Data Governance Counsel | Digital Assets & Stablecoin Integration | 6-Months

πŸ“ London / remote | πŸ’Ό Interim | πŸ—“οΈ Start: September 2026

Stablecoins. Blockchain settlement. Cross-border payments at global scale. If that sentence gets your pulse up, keep reading.

A leading global payments technology company is looking for a Privacy and Data Governance Counsel to embed within its Digital Assets integration team - supporting the privacy workstream of a major stablecoin infrastructure acquisition. This isn't back-office privacy compliance. This is genuinely frontier work: fiat-to-stablecoin flows, wallet data, Travel Rule considerations, blockchain-based settlement, and privacy-by-design for products that are actively reshaping how money moves.

What you'll be doing:

  • Leading post-acquisition privacy integration and remediation for a landmark stablecoin business combination
  • Advising on privacy for digital asset, blockchain and regulated payments products - genuinely novel legal terrain
  • Navigating cross-border data flows, GDPR/UK GDPR/US state privacy law, and financial crime-adjacent considerations (AML, sanctions, fraud)
  • Translating complex regulatory requirements into practical guidance for product, engineering and commercial teams

Who they want:

7+ years' privacy/data protection/regulatory experience, ideally with fintech, payments, digital assets or blockchain exposure. Comfortable operating independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous integration environment - someone who can build the plane while flying it.

This is a rare shot at genuinely cutting-edge digital assets privacy work, inside one of the biggest names in global payments.
