Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Internal Recruiter role based in Scunthorpe. The Internal Recruiter will manage end-to-end recruitment processes for a variety of roles, from initial vacancy briefings with hiring managers through to offer management and onboarding coordination. Responsibilities include drafting inclusive job descriptions and adverts, sourcing candidates through multiple channels, screening applications, and conducting initial interviews or assessment activities. The role will also involve maintaining accurate recruitment data, ensuring a positive and fair candidate experience, and supporting workforce planning and talent pipeline initiatives. The Internal Recruiter will partner closely with HR colleagues and line managers to understand resourcing needs, provide market insight, and ensure recruitment activities align with company policies and employment legislation.
Qualifications
  • Experience in end-to-end recruitment, including vacancy intake, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer management.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with hiring managers, HR colleagues, and external partners.
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS), HR databases, and basic recruitment analytics or reporting.
  • Knowledge of employment law, fair hiring practices, and inclusive, gender-neutral recruitment communications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft clear, engaging job descriptions and candidate communications.
  • Strong organizational and time-management capabilities, with the ability to manage multiple vacancies and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous experience recruiting in manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environments is advantageous.
  • Relevant qualification in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience in a recruitment or talent acquisition role.
