Job summary The overall aim of the Integrated Urgent Care Service is to provide a consult and complete model of care for people needing urgent care. The key features of the service include NHS 111, Clinical Assessment Service and Out of Hours services (face-to-face base and home visiting). The NHS 111 service will be provided by Health Advisors and Clinical Advisorshosted by our partner organisation, IC24. Where a senior clinical review is indicated, this will be completed within the Clinical Assessment Service, which will be jointly delivered by GHC Senior Clinical Leads based at Edward Jenner Court, Gloucester and remotely by IC24 CAS clinicians. The post holder will act as the Senior Clinical Lead for CAS and be part of the rota covering the service 24/7. This role is offered on a permanent basis. The hours are part-time, 20 hours per week. Main duties of the job Aim to provide timely high-quality clinical care and assessments primarily through telephone clinical triage and video consultationTo manage acute and chronic presentations across adult and paediatric patients To deliver personalised, evidence informed medical care to all patients requiring senior clinical assessment Validation of ambulance dispositions on the CAS clinical queue Support for Health Care professionals offering advise, guidance and navigation To provide advice, treatment, signposting and onward referral as appropriate. To adhere to local prescribing guidelines, including electronic prescribing practices Keep good quality up to date medical records including ensuring appropriate documentation and coding is used to provide consistent audit and monitoring of the service To provide clinical advice and support to non-medical team members as requested. To provide supervision, clinical advice and support to other learners, including GP trainees and Advanced Clinical Practitioners and trainees To work in close partnership and liaison with primary care, acute and specialist services, community Services, social services, mental health services and voluntary services both clinically and in relation to service development.
