Role Description The Junior Consultant role at LCMB is a hybrid position based in the Greater Oxford Area, with the flexibility to work from home part of the time. Day-to-day activities include supporting senior consultants in delivering facilities, energy, and workplace performance projects; collecting and analyzing data on building and workplace performance; and preparing reports, presentations, and project documentation. The role involves assisting with client meetings and workshops, contributing to project planning and implementation, and helping to track progress against project objectives. The Junior Consultant will also support continuous improvement by researching best practices, sustainability trends, and relevant technologies to enhance LCMB’s services.
Qualifications
  • Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data related to building performance, energy use, and workplace effectiveness.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports, presentations, and client-facing materials.
  • Basic understanding or interest in facilities management, project management, and sustainability/net zero principles.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Comfort working in a hybrid model, collaborating effectively with colleagues and clients both on-site and remotely.
  • Proficiency with common office and collaboration software (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Word, online meeting tools).
  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience in engineering, environmental science, facilities management, business, or a related field.
  • Willingness to learn, take initiative, and develop consulting skills within a supportive team environment.
