Overview
We require a Junior Project Manager to support delivery, coordination and governance across the Finance Transformation and Business Transformation Programmes. This role combines project delivery support and project coordination responsibilities across two separate Agile sprint teams.
The Role
This is an initial 12-month fixed-term contract supporting Redcentric's wider transformation agenda. Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, the successful candidate will support day-to-day delivery coordination, governance control, reporting, documentation, transition and adoption activities across two Agile sprint-based delivery streams. The role is intended to provide a balanced blend of Project Manager and Project Coordinator responsibilities where a single resource is required. The postholder will not have direct reports.
Key Responsibilities
Duties will include, but are not restricted to the following:.
Agile Delivery Support
- Support delivery across two separate Agile sprint teams, one aligned to the Finance Transformation Programme and one aligned to the Business Transformation Programme.
- Maintain delivery plans, sprint trackers, status updates and progress reporting.
- Support sprint ceremonies, workshops, delivery reviews and planning sessions.
- Identify blockers, risks and dependencies and escalate them to the Programme Leads.
- Support outcome prioritisation and delivery planning activities with programme stakeholders.
Governance & Reporting
- Maintain RAID logs, action trackers, decision registers and dependency trackers.
- Prepare agendas, minutes, meeting packs and programme reporting inputs.
- Track actions with owners and support timely completion.
- Ensure project documentation remains accurate, accessible and aligned to governance standards.
Transition & Readiness
- Support transition-to-service planning, readiness checkpoints and operational handover activities.
- Track documentation, training and knowledge transfer requirements.
- Coordinate release readiness activities and highlight any gaps or risks.
- Support the capture of ownership, support model and handover requirements.
Adoption & Stakeholder Coordination
- Support stakeholder engagement and communications planning.
- Coordinate training schedules, adoption activity tracking and feedback capture.
- Maintain stakeholder engagement and business readiness trackers.
- Collate user feedback to inform sprint prioritisation and continuous improvement.
Success Criteria
By the end of the 12-month contract, the successful candidate will have:
- A consistent delivery cadence is supported across both programmes at an appropriate scale for a junior project management role.
- Actions, RAID items, decisions and dependencies are tracked, followed up and escalated effectively.
- Programme reporting, documentation and governance artefacts are maintained accurately and on time.
- Transition and adoption activities are coordinated, with business readiness risks captured and escalated.
- The role provides a balanced blend of delivery support and project coordination, enabling programme leadership to maintain control across both sprint teams.
Person Specification
The ideal candidate will ideally have the following skills, attributes and experience:
- 2-4+ years experience in project delivery, project coordination, PMO support or a similar role.
- Experience supporting Agile, hybrid delivery, transformation, adoption or business change activity.
- Good understanding of delivery planning, RAID management, action tracking, reporting and governance controls.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple workstreams.
- Confident working with business stakeholders, project teams and subject matter experts.
- Comfortable preparing meeting materials, reports, trackers and project documentation.
- Ability to identify risks, blockers and dependencies and escalate appropriately.
- Professional, proactive and outcome-focused approach.
Workplace
Redcentric has a flexible working policy. This role will operate on a hybrid basis from our Harrogate office (minimum 2 days per week). The successful candidate should be able to commute to the Harrogate office as required.
