Kong API Management / API Engineer

Location - Glasgow (Onsite- 5days/week)

Inside IR35 Contract

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills -

· Programming languages: Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages - Golang or Lua Script.

· Cloud-native operations: Practical, hands-on cloud-native experience.

· API management: Professional experience with API management technologies (e.g., Apigee, Kong, or MuleSoft).

· API design: Strong understanding of the OpenAPI Specification (OAS) for RESTful APIs.

· API security: Hands-on experience securing APIs at the gateway, including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), JWT validation, key-auth, and mutual TLS (mTLS).

· DevOps toolchain: Expertise across the DevOps toolchain, including CI/CD, Kubernetes, and Terraform.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

· AWS: Experience with AWS services, including ECS, EKS, and MSK.

· API gateway: Hands-on experience with Kong API Gateway.

· Golang: Proficiency in the Golang programming language.

· Lua: Proficiency in the Lua programming language.
