A Legal 500 ranked team is seeking a Senior Associate to join its established and highly regarded property practice, focusing on leasehold enfranchisement work. This is a senior hire aimed at an experienced lawyer with a strong reputation in the space and a demonstrable portable following.

With a dedicated enfranchisement team spanning both property and property litigation, the firm has been involved in a number of leading decisions in this space.

The Role

This position sits within a highly experienced enfranchisement team acting for both landlords and tenants, including high-value individual clients, investors and portfolio holders. Work will cover the full spectrum of enfranchisement matters, combining advisory, transactional and contentious elements.

Work will include:

• Statutory and voluntary lease extensions
• Collective enfranchisement matters (freehold acquisitions)
• Strategic advice on rights under enfranchisement legislation
• Handling complex and high-value cases
• Working closely with surveyors and other professional advisers
• Contributing to the ongoing growth of the practice

• Strong experience in leasehold enfranchisement
• Proven ability to manage complex matters independently
• A portable client following and strong network within the enfranchisement space
