What You'll Do

• Provide specialist legal advice on the structuring, establishment and ongoing operation of UK and cross-border investment funds and related vehicles, ensuring compliance with relevant UK regulatory regimes, including the FCA Handbook and UK AIFM requirements.
• Prepare, review and negotiate fund documentation and agreements, including constitutional documents, investment management agreements and service provider contracts.
• Advise on and negotiate investment management and other commercial agreements, delivering pragmatic and commercially focused legal solutions that support business objectives.
• Act as a trusted legal adviser to Investments, Operations, Compliance, Risk and Finance teams, supporting strategic initiatives and providing clear regulatory guidance.
• Support fund governance, regulatory compliance and risk management activities, including drafting committee papers, coordinating regulatory filings, and identifying and mitigating legal and regulatory risks in line with internal governance frameworks and policies.
• Maintain and enhance legal know-how, precedents and process improvements to strengthen team capability, consistency and operational efficiency.

What You Bring

• Qualified solicitor with at least four years' post qualification experience, typically acquired in a leading law firm funds or asset management practice, or within an in house legal team at an asset manager, investment firm or other financial services organisation.
• Experience with investment funds across both liquid (hedge funds) and illiquid (private equity) strategies, with exposure to asset management.
• Experience advising on fund matters, including private equity and hedge funds.
• Strong analytical thinker with commercial awareness who can prioritise and meet deadlines under pressure.
• Excellent attention to detail with clear drafting, review and negotiation skills.
• Proactive and self-motivated, comfortable taking responsibility; proficient in Microsoft Word.
