We're now looking for a Legal Support Assistant to join our Manchester office, supporting our Corporate & IP team and helping to keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes.

THE ROLE & TEAM

As a Legal Support Assistant within our Corporate & IP team, you'll provide high-quality administrative support to our fee earners and partners, helping to ensure an exceptional service for both colleagues and clients.

This is a varied role, combining core legal administrative support with elements of PA-style assistance. You'll work closely with a busy and collaborative team advising businesses, entrepreneurs and organisations on a wide range of corporate, intellectual property and commercial matters, building trusted relationships and becoming a key part of the team's success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing diaries, scheduling meetings and coordinating travel arrangements
  • Supporting file opening processes, including conflict checks and AML procedures
  • Assisting with the preparation, formatting and production of legal documents, presentations and client correspondence
  • Preparing and submitting invoices and supporting financial administration processes
  • Assisting with client onboarding and matter management processes
  • Acting as a point of contact for clients, colleagues and external contacts
  • Maintaining organised electronic filing and document management systems
  • Providing administrative support for transactions, deals and wider team projects
  • Supporting fee earners with document production, bundle preparation and general matter administration
  • Contributing to wider team and office activity, including collaboration with colleagues across Brabners' offices

About You

We're looking for someone who is organised, proactive and enjoys working in a fast-paced professional environment.

You'll have:

  • Previous experience in an administrative, legal support or office support role
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional, client-focused approach
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Great attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • A collaborative mindset and willingness to support colleagues across the team
  • Experience within a legal or professional services environment would be advantageous
