The Role
We have an exciting new opportunity for a Loans Transaction Management Specialist to join Robert Walters as a Consultant. To be considered for this role you should have previous Loans Transaction Management experience including LMA documentation, Loans negotiation and understanding corporate credit agreements amongst other skills.

As a Consultant, you will benefit from permanent employment with Robert Walters and will be deployed on an assignment with one of our clients, a major US Investment Bank. In return we will provide you with the opportunity to develop your skills with ongoing training and professional support.

As a Loans Transaction Management Specialist within the Credit Products Delivery team, you will serve as a middle office transaction management partner for clients of the Commercial & Investment Bank. Your role involves providing expertise in the negotiation and review of facility documentation and managing end-to-end transactions for Loan products. Collaborate closely with client coverage teams, external legal counsel, and facility agents to deliver exceptional service.

Job responsibilities

• Execute market leading loan and ancillary legal documentation for credit facilities, with particular emphasis on corporate clients, and oversees the deal closing process.
• Work alongside clients (or their counsel), Front Office and Credit teams to review and support negotiation of legal documentation for financings, with a focus on bilateral and syndicated loan facilities.
• Act as the point of contact with internal and external legal counsel during review of facility documentation.
• Apply transactional expertise to propose practical solutions to stakeholders (bankers, credit, tax, operations, etc.), engaging the right parties promptly to achieve resolution.
• Maintain the internal controls framework for transaction execution, including reporting, escalation and preparing/co ordinating approval of documentation deviations during negotiations.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Deep technical knowledge of loan documentation (particularly LMA syndicated facilities) and strong grasp of lending products and associated legal agreements, including investment grade, leveraged and acquisition finance.
• Proven transaction management experience across investment grade and non investment grade loans, with sound understanding of banking processes.
• Excellent organisation and coordination skills, able to work calmly under pressure to tight deadlines while prioritising effectively.
• Strong control mindset with the ability to identify issues quickly, escalate appropriately and drive timely resolutions.
• Confident, proactive communicator and self starter, adaptable to changing business and technology environments; competent with MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Desirable qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Candidates with backgrounds in law firms or in house legal teams, including paralegals.
• Proficiency in additional languages.
