Logistics Planner
A global technology organisation has an exciting opportunity for a Material Planning Engineer to join its high-performing manufacturing operation. This role sits within a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment, where supply chain excellence is critical to supporting production and operational success.
You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth flow of materials across the site, working closely with internal teams and external suppliers to maintain production continuity and optimise inventory performance.
The Role:
This position will take ownership of material planning activities, ensuring that supply is effectively aligned with demand while maintaining optimal inventory levels. You’ll support production by preventing shortages, resolving supply challenges, and driving continuous improvement across planning processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage material requirements through MRP systems to support production plans
- Monitor and control inventory levels to avoid shortages and excess stock
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and resolve supply issues
- Support production teams by ensuring continuous material availability
- Analyse KPIs and planning data to drive performance improvements
- Contribute to cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives
Key Requirements
- Experience in material planning or supply chain within a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems (e.g. SAP)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Strong communication skills with the ability to manage stakeholders effectively
