Role Description

As a Manager Consultant at State of Flux, you will play a key role in delivering impactful procurement & supply chain projects for global clients across diverse industries. You will work on initiatives spanning supplier management (including contract, risk, performance & relationship management). By translating complex business challenges into actionable solutions, you will drive meaningful change and results with clients, foster & develop deep client relationships, and contribute to both project delivery (across Consulting & training) and business development/sales in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.


Qualifications

  • Strong experience in supplier management/procurement/supply chain consulting (ideally 3-5+ years' experience)
  • Proven ability to lead workstreams & teams, manage stakeholders, and deliver high-quality consulting engagements on time and within scope.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to interpret complex data, develop insights, and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and workshop facilitation skills, with the ability to engage confidently with senior client stakeholders.
  • Experience with contract life-cycle management processes and tools, and familiarity with supplier management platforms or related procurement technologies (e.g., SupplierBase or similar).
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise multiple projects in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, procurement, engineering, or a related field; a postgraduate degree or professional certifications (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) are an advantage.
  • Consulting background or equivalent experience in a strategic procurement or supply chain role within a complex organization.
  • Experience working across PowerPoint/Excel, with additional elements (such as PowerBI) preferred
  • Experience or a future desire to deliver training(likely initially across supplier management)
  • Experience in driving business development & sales, through development of proposals &/or RFP responses, & building of strong client relationships
  • Comfort working in a hybrid model in the London Area, with flexibility to travel to client sites as required, as well as work from the London office across a minimum of 3 days-a-week
