Market & Liquidity Risk Analyst FTC

Due to business requirements & growth, we are now looking to acquire the services of a Market & Liquidity Risk Analyst to cover a contract for 9 months.
- Please note that this is a fixed-term-contract to cover a 9 month period.
- Please note that this is a hybrid role with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce regular management information (MI) supporting the monitoring of market risk KPIs.
- Conduct surveillance of bond, FX, derivatives, and repo activities to ensure compliance with approved limits for trading and banking book positions.
- Engage with first-line stakeholders to provide support, challenge, and informed advice on market risk matters, escalating issues appropriately.
- Support assessment of new product initiatives that may generate market risk by performing structured analysis and documenting findings.
- Assist with market and liquidity stress testing, contributing to internal assessment frameworks and regulatory submissions (ICAAP, ILAAP, RRP).
- Maintain up‑to‑date market risk procedures, RCSA documentation, and contribute to audit and control activities.
- Perform data analytics, validation tasks, and portfolio analysis supporting the Bank’s risk appetite monitoring.
- Support second-line review of regulatory reporting.
- Support the second line challenge of management of key liquidity and funding metrics
- Support the monitoring of counterparty credit exposures, limit usage and risk reporting.
Key Skills/Experience:
- Previous proven experience within Market Risk, Liquidity Risk, Risk Analytics or other related quantitative risk management roles.
- A quantitative or analytical degree within Engineering, Mathematics, Accounting, Statistics or similar field.
- Strong numeracy & data analysis experience/knowledge.
- Strong understanding of market risk management and its principles.
- Strong familiarity with quantitative finance concept.
- Strong Excel skills including complex modelling & automation.
- Strong skills within SQL, Power BI, Python or equivalent analytical tools.
- Experience developing MI packs, dashboards and automated reporting.
- Previous experience working with Treasury products and regulatory reporting is desirable, however not essential.
