About The Role
We are looking to recruit a skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team based at our manufacturing facility in Scunthorpe. The candidate will work a combination of mornings and afternoons on a rotating shift pattern.The salary for this position is £40,500 plus Shift Allowance.

We are looking to recruit a skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team based at our manufacturing facility in Scunthorpe. The candidate will work a combination of mornings and afternoons on a rotating shift pattern.The salary for this position is £40,500 plus Shift Allowance.
Main Responsibilities:
- To carry out planned and reactive maintenance.
- Providing rapid response to breakdown’s when required
- Fault finding, trouble shooting and maintaining, repairing conveyor systems, equipment and plant using all engineering disciplines to ensure minimum lost production time
- To follow up any faults picked up on PPM’s.
- Ensure engineering standards are maintained to maximize the operation effectiveness and reliability of the factory and associated systems.
- To assist specialist subcontractor’s requirements both for PPM and reactive works.
- To ensure company QA and site procedures are adhered to in all aspects.
- Ensure Company & Site, Health & Safety procedures are always followed.
- Keep and maintain all company issued tools in a safe and serviceable manner.
- To proactively work towards the continued success and support of the business with a can-do attitude.
- Complete any other associated task requested by the management.
- Ensure that workstations are kept tidy and well maintained
About You
Key Skills and desires:
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in mechanical engineering and relevant experience
- PLC Qualification
- An ability to work well under pressure
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent technical skills and knowledge.
- Problem solving skills.
