Midweight Social-first Content Creator

London Area, United Kingdom Full-time Posted 59 minutes ago

House of Poppins | Creative Team

We’re looking for a hands-on Midweight Social-first Content Creator with strong design skills to join our in-house creative team at Poppins.

You’ll create content across a varied mix of clients, often with a premium and luxury edge, alongside our own agency projects. Your focus will be on filming, editing and bringing social content to life, using your eye for design to incorporate typography, graphics and mixed media.

Working closely with the wider creative team, you’ll contribute ideas and turn briefs into engaging, well-crafted content that feels right for both the brand and the platform.

What you’ll do

  • Shoot and edit social-first content, from product films and trend-led videos to event coverage and behind-the-scenes moments.
  • Use design, typography, motion and mixed media to elevate content, alongside creating static social assets.
  • Contribute ideas, hooks, simple scripts and repeatable formats with support from the creative team.
  • Adapt campaign ideas and existing assets into content for Instagram, TikTok and beyond.
  • Bring fresh references, relevant trends and new content-making techniques to the team.
  • Take content from brief through to delivery, collaborating with creative and account teams, responding to feedback and managing deadlines.

Experience and skills

  • Experience creating social content within an agency, brand or freelance environment.
  • A portfolio demonstrating strong self-shot and self-edited video, alongside a good eye for design.
  • Confidence filming with mobile devices and camera equipment, with a practical understanding of lighting, framing and sound.
  • Strong editing skills using Premiere Pro or equivalent, plus confidence with Photoshop and social tools such as After Effects skills are a plus.
  • A good grounding in typography, composition and layout, with an interest in mixed media and motion.
  • An understanding of social platforms, formats and trends, and how to adapt your approach to different brands.

About you

You love making content and care about the details, from an attention-grabbing opening to a well-timed cut. You’re comfortable moving between polished, premium work and more spontaneous, playful, low-fi social content. Curious, proactive and collaborative, you enjoy contributing ideas, developing your craft and taking ownership of your work across varied briefs.

What we offer:

  • Competitive salary
  • 25-days annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Training support and personal career development
  • A flexible working pattern, with a 1-day a week WFH policy (the rest of the week is based in our Central London office)
  • Monthly wellness allowance
  • Company-supplied pension
  • Community Day (once a year charity offsite)
  • Monday team breakfasts

To apply

If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you. Please send your CV and a portfolio or showreel to work@poppins.agency, highlighting what you personally filmed, edited or designed — we’d love to see the work that best demonstrates your approach to social content, including any personal projects.

Closing date: 13 October 2026.
