The sheer volume of cases, and the constant possibility of major costs and resources being involved, can impact seriously on the operational performance of any of the parties involved.

What is needed most in this situation is a service that can help process cases with maximum speed and efficiency and achieve the most satisfactory settlements possible. Weightmans' Motor team is a market leader in this field offering a full service with dedicated teams dealing with fast track, multi track, motor recoveries, fraud, credit hire, indemnity issues and representation at inquests and criminal prosecutions.

We are currently recruiting for an Associate Solicitor to manage a caseload of high value complex motor recovery claims in Liverpool.

Main Duties And Responsibilities

  • Manage caseload effectively and efficiently
  • Review liability and quantum before devising a strategy for continued handling;
  • Handle cases to conclusion including instructing investigators, posing Part 35 questions, instructing Counsel and making Part 36 offers;
  • Complete client and firm MI procedures
  • Comply with client SLAs, e-manual and local claims handling requirements
  • Achieve set chargeable hours and financial targets
  • Supervise junior handlers in the motor recoveries team
  • Attend client meetings
  • Comply with Data Protection Procedures
