Valayo are working with a leading global advisory firm in the Lloyd’s & London Market looking to hire a Nearly (9+ exams)/Newly Qualified Actuary into a mixed role.
This isn’t your typical advisory role. Rather than audit-driven projects, the work is shaped by live reinsurance transactions and market activity, putting you much closer to strategic decisions as they happen.
The role offers exposure across capital, reserving and pricing, with a greater capital focus in the short-medium term given the growth of ILS, sidecars and other innovative reinsurance structures.
You’ll get exposure to:
- ILS, sidecars and new Lloyd’s syndicate launches
- Capital modelling, validation and strategic advisory
- Using capital to inform underwriting and portfolio decisions
- Reserving and pricing projects
- Live reinsurance transactions and senior stakeholders
They’re open to candidates from capital, reserving or pricing backgrounds, the key is being commercially minded, adaptable and keen to broaden your experience across the London Market.
