We are looking for an experienced and influential Head of Technical Infrastructure & Asset Management to join our team and play a pivotal role in delivering technical leadership across a large and complex property portfolio.

In this senior leadership position, you will be responsible for driving technical standards, engineering compliance, asset management strategy, and competency development. Working closely with operational, QHSE and client stakeholders, you will ensure our engineering services remain safe, compliant, innovative and aligned to industry best practice.

What You'll Be Doing

As the technical authority across the portfolio, you will:

• Lead the development and implementation of technical engineering standards, governance and compliance frameworks.
• Drive a culture of technical excellence, supporting operational teams to achieve statutory, mandatory and contractual compliance.
• Oversee technical audits, inspections and assurance programmes, ensuring an ongoing "audit-ready" approach across all sites.
• Act as the engineering subject matter expert for business development activities, technical investigations, incident management and client engagement.
• Lead engineering competency, training and development programmes, including apprentice and early careers initiatives.
• Support the appointment and governance of Authorised Persons and technical registrations across disciplines including HV, LV, Water, Fire, Pressure Systems, Combustion and Air Conditioning.
• Develop and lead a network of technical professionals across the contract, providing coaching, guidance and leadership.
• Identify, manage and mitigate technical and engineering risks across the portfolio.
• Maintain strong relationships with industry bodies, accreditation organisations and technical partners.

Asset Management & Capital Planning

You will take ownership of the asset management strategy, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of asset information while supporting informed investment decisions.

Responsibilities include:

• Managing and developing the asset audit programme and asset database.
• Ensuring asset condition data, lifecycle information and technical records remain accurate and compliant.
• Providing meaningful reporting and performance insights to clients and stakeholders.
• Using asset intelligence and management information to develop long-term maintenance and investment strategies.
• Producing forward-looking asset lifecycle plans and supporting the development of 10-year capital investment programmes.
• Collaborating with Capital Planning teams to align technical priorities with future portfolio requirements.

Financial & Commercial Leadership

• Full responsibility for Hard Services budget performance and financial management.
• Supporting resource planning, workforce development and succession planning strategies.
• Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement, innovation and operational efficiencies.

About You

We're looking for a technical leader with a proven track record of managing engineering compliance, asset management and technical assurance within a complex facilities management, critical environment or property portfolio setting.

You will likely have:

• Extensive experience in engineering leadership, technical compliance or asset management.
• Strong knowledge of statutory, regulatory and industry compliance requirements.
• Experience developing and managing technical governance, audit and assurance programmes.
• A detailed understanding of building services engineering and critical engineering disciplines.
• Proven experience leading technical teams and developing engineering talent.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior leaders and clients.
• Experience producing asset management strategies, lifecycle plans and capital investment programmes.
• Commercial awareness, including budget management and financial accountability.
• A passion for continuous improvement, innovation and technical excellence.
