Operations Accountant

Are you a detail-driven finance professional looking to make a real impact in a fast-paced environment? We are looking for an Operations Accountant to join our team and play a key role in delivering accurate, high-quality financial reporting that supports business performance.

About the Role

As an Operations Accountant, you will work closely with the Head of Finance and site teams to ensure accurate reporting, insightful analysis, and continuous improvement of financial processes.

You’ll be at the heart of operations—helping drive performance, identify trends, and support decision-making across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate daily and weekly KPI reporting
• Monitor and analyse business performance, highlighting key issues
• Support weekly and monthly reporting, including variance analysis
• Ensure accurate stock control and investigate discrepancies
• Manage overhead reporting, accruals, and prepayments
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes
• Deputise for the Head of Finance when required
• Drive improvements in systems and reporting processes

• Timely and accurate financial reporting
• Strong KPI management and performance insights
• Minimal variances between weekly and monthly reporting
• Effective cost control and budget adherence
• Continuous improvement in reporting systems and processes

What We’re Looking for Essential:

✔ Strong interpersonal and communication skills

✔ Excellent organisational and time management ability

✔ High attention to detail and accuracy

✔ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

✔ Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills

✔ Ability to build trusted relationships across teams

Desirable:

➕ Experience in manufacturing or food industry

➕ Part-qualified / qualified by experience (QBE)

➕ Advanced Excel skills (modelling)

➕ Power BI or Microsoft Dynamics experience
