Role Description This is a full-time remote Paralegal role.


We are seeking an organised and proactive Residential Property Paralegal to join our busy Conveyancing team. The successful candidate will provide support to a senior consultant solicitor together with two other paralegals within the team on a wide range of residential property matters, helping to ensure transactions progress smoothly from instruction through to completion and post-completion.


This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with residential conveyancing experience who is looking to develop their legal career within a supportive and professional environment.


Key Responsibilities


* Assist with all aspects of residential property transactions.

* Open new client files and carry out client due diligence and anti-money laundering (AML) checks.

* Prepare and issue contract packs.

* Obtain and review property searches, Land Registry documents and title information.

* Draft legal documents and correspondence.

* Liaise with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, brokers, developers and other solicitors.

* Manage transaction timelines and ensure key deadlines are met.

* Prepare completion statements and assist with completion arrangements.

* Submit SDLT returns and deal with post-completion registrations at HM Land Registry.

* Maintain accurate file records and case management systems.

* Provide regular updates to clients regarding the progress of their matters.

* Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, firm procedures and quality standards.


Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines remotely.
  • Previous experience in a law firm or legal environment, particularly in residential property is advantageous but not mandatory
  • We welcome applicants who are based in Hong Kong or the UK.
