We are looking for a paralegal to join our commercial Real Estate Team in London.
The role
We require a paralegal to join the Commercial Real Estate team in London. We are looking for someone who can undertake a broad range of work as part of the Real Estate team, which will include managing your own smaller transactions and dealing with clients with close supervision and guidance, as well as supporting the team delivering larger transactions, which may also be cross office and multi–discipline.

Pre employment screening

The role
We require a paralegal to join the Commercial Real Estate team in London. We are looking for someone who can undertake a broad range of work as part of the Real Estate team, which will include managing your own smaller transactions and dealing with clients with close supervision and guidance, as well as supporting the team delivering larger transactions, which may also be cross office and multi–discipline.
The person
- Experience working within commercial real estate is desirable but not essential as full training will be given. Your role will be to support the internal team (locally in London and, occasionally, across the wider RE NSL) on a wide range of commercial property matters.
- Given the responsibilities of this role, your background and experience will include:
- Good academics and law degree or equivalent (e.g. GDL).
- High quality paralegal experience is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent written English and ability to produce clear, logical drafting.
- Negotiating skills.
- Lateral thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Enthusiasm towards building and strengthening relationships with long established clients and advisors.
- Flexibility to work with team members.
- Effective time and matter management and a systematic approach to work.

Areas Of Work For The Team Are
- development work (excluding construction);
- property investment portfolio acquisitions and disposals acting for both buyers and sellers;
- advising private and institutional investors in relation to landlord and tenant issues;
- general property asset management matters including:
- surrenders
- licences
- wayleaves
- easements
- rent reviews;
- occasional corporate support in connection with share and business acquisitions/disposals;
- acting for tenants on their occupier requirements and central London headquarters;
- occasionally assisting the London Real Estates Disputes team on a varied range of matters;
- dealing with Land Registry and Stamp Duty Land Tax forms and filings; and
- occasional property related banking and finance support
