Role Description The Payment Operations Associate is a full-time, on-site role based in Glasgow. This role is responsible for processing and reconciling payments, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of mortgage and property finance transactions. The associate will monitor incoming and outgoing funds, investigate and resolve payment discrepancies, and maintain up-to-date records across internal systems. They will collaborate closely with finance, customer support, and lending teams to handle queries, support month-end activities, and maintain strong operational controls. The role also involves following regulatory and internal policies, identifying process improvements, and contributing to a reliable and efficient payment operations function.

Qualifications
- Experience in payment processing, reconciliations, and transaction monitoring within financial services or a related industry.
- Strong numerical skills with attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and comfort working with spreadsheets and finance systems.
- Ability to analyze issues, investigate discrepancies, and apply problem-solving skills to resolve payment-related queries.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with internal teams and external partners.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workloads, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of basic accounting principles and awareness of regulatory and compliance requirements in finance (e.g., AML, KYC) is beneficial.
- Proficiency with common office software (e.g., Excel, Word) and willingness to learn new tools and systems.
- Previous experience in an operations, finance, or banking role and a relevant qualification (e.g., in Finance, Accounting, Business, or similar) are advantageous.
