This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to start or further develop a career in Human Resources. As an HR Intern, you will gain hands-on experience supporting the People Team across a wide range of HR activities, from recruitment and onboarding to employee administration and engagement initiatives.
Working closely with the People Team and managers across the business, you'll play an important role in delivering a positive employee experience while gaining valuable exposure to the full employee lifecycle.
- Support the onboarding process for new starters, including preparing contracts, coordinating inductions, and issuing employee equipment.
- Assist with recruitment activities, including posting vacancies, screening applications, arranging interviews, and communicating with candidates.
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure HR systems are kept up to date.
- Support the administration of employee benefits and HR processes.
- Assist with absence management administration and employee correspondence.
- Respond to employee queries and provide HR administrative support.
- Support people projects, engagement activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Help maintain HR policies, procedures, and digital records.
- Ensure confidentiality when handling employee information and documentation.
- Studying towards, recently completed, or interested in a qualification in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
- Previous administrative experience would be beneficial but is not essential.
- A genuine interest in developing a career within HR.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Professional and confidential approach when handling sensitive information.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
- Ability to build strong working relationships across the business.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.
